A man has appeared in court charged with killing a man with a blade at an address in east London. Baimolda Beibit, 37, from Chingford, allegedly fatally stabbed a 42-year-old

He was charged with murder on Tuesday and appeared before Thames Magistrates to face one count of murder on Wednesday. He was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on 10 May.

Police were scrambled to an address in Cranston Gardens at 9pm on 6 May after reports of a man injured inside. A police statement said after Beibit’s court appearance: “This follows police being called to the address in Cranston Gardens at about 21:00hrs on Monday, 6 May following concerns for the welfare of a man inside the address. “A 42-year-old man was found inside the address with knife injuries. He sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been notified. “Beibit and a 33-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. “The 33-year-old woman was released on bail pending further enquiries.”
