Ageing is an inevitable (and joyful) part of living, but there are measures that you can take to prevent your skin from ageing prematurely.

While wearing sunscreen on a daily basis and keeping your skin hydrated are tried and tested ways to help keep your skin looking younger than its years, there’s also skincare that can help with a youthful glow. Enter: LYMA Skincare.

Already known for its popular supplements and groundbreaking skin laser, LYMA has created a new two-step skincare range that can reverse the conditions associated with skin ageing.

LYMA

LYMA Skincare Serum and Cream have both been formulated in partnership with plastic surgeon Dr Graeme E. Glass PhD and claims to be the first skincare to address why we age.

Powered by GenolyticsTM technology, the new formulas are created with 80 per cent active ingredients (actives), which is 60 per cent more actives than traditional skincare. Traditional skincare is typically formulated with a 20:80 ratio of water to actives, while LYMA Skin is the first formulation bio-engineered with 80:20 ratio of active ingredients to water.

“LYMA Skincare takes several ground-breaking scientific concepts and combines them to once again create a revolution in skincare,” Glass says. “The fact is topical skincare products are formulated to feel good, to look good and to smell good, in that order but with LYMA Skincare we sought to do things differently and we succeeded.”

The formulas for the serum and cream can eradicate dead skin cells, reduce redness, restore firmness, and reduce wrinkle formation. The anti-inflammatory ingredients can also support oxygen and nutrients in skin cells, increase elasticity for smoother skin and help to accelerate skin renewal.

A clinical trial of 50 people aged between 30 and 65 found that 72 per cent saw improvement in skin hydration, while 51 per cent saw improvement in skin firmness and 24 per cent noticed improvement in skin elasticity.

“You are fighting a losing battle if you only tackle the surface level signs of ageing,” LYMA founder, Lucy Goff, says. “In an industry saturated with endless products designed to tackle a limited number of concerns, consumers are left to create their own protocols, often mixing actives and brands that are incompatible, or at worst, cancel each other out. LYMA Skincare Serum and Cream, have been designed to work together, simplifying the consumer’s routine to deliver genuinely remarkable results.”
