The woman who says she is the real life ‘stalker’ who the Netflix hit Baby Reindeer is based turned the tables on Piers Morgan’s show claiming she was the real victim.
Scottish lawyer Fiona Harvey spoke to Morgan regarding her portrayal in the hit black comedy which has been a huge hit for the streaming service.
Baby Reindeer stars comedian Richard Gadd as Donny while Jessica Gunning plays Martha who in the show stalks him, following him home and staking out the pub where he works.
The character Donny is based on Gadd and his own experiences being stalked and the toll it took on his relationships and career.
Harvey agreed to share her story to Morgan on his show Uncensored on Thursday evening.
She described Gadd, 34, as "a complete psychopath" who has “done bloody well out of defaming me".
"I just generally think he's got extreme psychiatric problems.
"It's a work of fiction. It's a work of hyperbole, as I've always said.
"And and there are two true facts in that. His name is Richard Gad, and he worked as a jobbing barman on benefits, in the Hawley Arms.
"And we met two, three times."
On being ‘outed’ within hours as the ‘real-life Martha’ online, she said: “On the internet, sleuths tracked me down and hounded me and gave me death threats. So it wasn't really a choice. I was forced into this situation.”
Asked if she had watched the drama, she replied: “Not at all. I've heard about the court scene, about the jail sentences and all this sort of stuff… I haven't watched any of it.”
There had been huge speculation about the real identity of the stalker dramatised in Baby Reindeer. Harvey has come forward to appear on the show in which Morgan tackles controversial subjects and people.
He pledges to allow people to give their side of the story, while peppering them with tricky questions. Previous guests have included Rishi Sunak.

In a post on X Morgan wrote before his show: “The real-life Martha from Baby Reindeer breaks cover and gives me her first TV interview about the smash hit Netflix show. Fiona Harvey wants to have her say & ‘set the record straight.’ Is she a psycho stalker? Find out tomorrow on @PiersUncensored.”
The seven-episode series started on April 18 and has become hugely popular.
The show has already had 56.5 million views in just 26 days.
Gadd said of Baby Reindeer previously: “I wanted it to be nuanced. I just remember my idea of stalking in life was so different to what actually happened.
“My idea of what a stalker was, was that they are fundamentally, sort of, psychopathic characters. But it just wasn’t that case. I saw someone very vulnerable, really.”
